Medical Investigation was a suspense-filled drama about a team of highly skilled doctors who work for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and are called upon to solve rare and unusual medical cases all over the world. Leading the team of doctors and scientists is Dr. Stephen Connor (Neal McDonough), an exceptionally skilled scientist who works to save the world from the next outbreak, while he faces the conflicts associated with his job and the challenges of his role as a newly separated father with a young son. Working under Connor is Dr. Natalie Durant (Kelli Williams), a pathologist and epidemiologist, Frank Powell (Troy Winbush) a toxicologist, Eva Rossi (Anna Belknap), a young and ambitious press liaison, and Dr. Miles McCabe (Christopher Gorham) the rookie, eager to impress Connor. This remarkable team not only solved mysteries, they saved lives. The National Institutes of Health, the world's leading medical research center for the last century, has been on the cutting edge of disease and epidemic prevention, diagnosis and cure. This intense series was not about who did it, but what caused the potential outbreaks as it followed the team from the NIH who continue to fight, solve and prevent diseases.
